Nursing and Midwifery renewal - update your contact details

Update your contact details to receive registration renewal reminders

Over 330,000 nurses and midwives across Australia are due to renew their general or non-practising registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (the Board) by 31 May 2012.

If you do not have your user ID, complete an online enquiry form (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - Make an Enquiry) and select ‘Online Access’ as the category type.

Under the National Law1, all registered nurses and midwives are responsible for renewing their registration on time each year. The quickest and easiest way to renew your registration is online.

To not miss these registration renewal reminders, the Board is urging all nurses and midwives to check and confirm their contact details as previously provided to AHPRA.

To update your contact details using AHPRA’s online services go to www.ahpra.gov.au, click Online Services and follow the prompts using your user ID and secure password.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) will be contacting individual nurses and midwives soon that their registration is due for renewal.

Make sure you renew on time because under the National Law there is no option for AHPRA or the Board to renew your registration after it has lapsed without you having to complete a new application for registration.
