Paediatric and Child Health Nurse Competencies.
At the International ACPCHN Conference in Perth in 2000, the first edition of Competencies for the Specialist Paediatric and Child Health Nurse (pdf 638 kB) were launched. The document was reviewed in 2006. A further review was conducted in 2009. The competencies are used widely in academic and service settings by paediatric and child health nurses. Journal – The Journal of Neonatal, Paediatric and Child Health Nursing. The ACCYPN and ACNN (Australian College of Neonatal Nurses) produce an international peer reviewed journal. This is free to members. Independent subscribers and interested authors should access further information from the journal website.
Position Statements (will be published as they are endorsed by the Board)
The ACCYPN develop and publish statements regarding their position on issues in children and young people’s health. These are available for public use, but must be referenced to the ACCYPN. It should be noted that these are not policies, but reflect the consensus view of the ACCYPN on issues.
