By Jacquie Burton

The 2026 conference is coming together with a diverse and exciting program.

30th September

* In the morning we are running a Standards of Practice workshop – come and be involved in a validation session for the College updated Standards.  These standards are what all nurses working with children and young people should be aware of and how they influence their practice. Free for all members

* We have 3 masterclasses that will run in the afternoon. Planetary Health, Youth Psychological Assessment and Writing for Publication and Becoming a Peer Reviewer.

1st and 2nd of October

Day 1 we are hosting a panel discussion on our people, with an expert panel from different aspects of the workforce – what we want children and young people's nurses to look like, what do children and young people want from the workforce? Join us for the conference dinner that evening.

Day 2 listen to and join in a panel discussion around planetary health and what this means for the future of children and young people's health.

Our current speakers list: https://www.accypn.org.au/speakers

The rest of the program is up to you – submit an abstract and shape how the rest of the conference looks. Share your knowledge, expertise and experience with others and inspire the future of children and young people's nursing.

The speciality practice area of nursing children and young people is often lost in the larger world of adult health. Come and shine a light on your area of practice.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to literature about children and young people's health, make connectins and enhance your knowledge and practise as a nurse working with children and young people.

Abstracts will close on the 27th of April https://www.accypn.org.au/call-for-abstracts.

Super Early bird Registration is also open. https://www.accypn.org.au/registration The conference registrations will be limited to the capacity of the main lecture theatre at The Royal Children's, so don't miss out. Register today.
