Membership Classes
Membership of ACCYPN consists of the following classes:
Ordinary Membership (Voting)
Ordinary Members shall include any registered/enrolled nurse actively engaged in the provision of care for children and young people. A nurse will be actively engaged in the provision of care for children and young people and can include but not limited to:
- Deliver and/or influence direct nursing care to children and young people 0 – 18 and their families
- Manage, direct and/or supervise health/nursing care of children 0 – 18 and their families
- Provide education related to children & young peoples’ nursing
- Research areas of clinical, educational and/or management of children and young people’s health care
Corporate Membership
Corporate Membership is available to health service organisations, academic institutions and associations that support the objectives of ACCYPN. For more information click here.
Associate Membership (Non-Voting)
Associate members shall include:
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers
- Any registered/enroled nurses not actively engaged in the health care of children and young people but who value the objects of the College
- Any persons working with children and young people
- No access to scholarships
Affiliate Membership
Affiliate Membership is available to Associations that support the objectives of ACCYPN. For more information click here.
Student Membership
Associate members shall include:
- Undergraduate Student in Nursing
- Maximum 3 years
- No access to scholarships
Overseas Membership (Non-Voting)
Overseas members shall include:
- Any registered/enrolled nurses actively engaged in the health care of children and young people in their country of practice
- Any persons working with children and young people
- No access to scholarships
- Not eligible for executive positions
Life Membership
Life Members shall include Ordinary Members past or present who have given outstanding service to children and young people’s health nursing
Honorary Membership
Honorary Members shall include persons who have given outstanding service to children and young people’s health.
Fellow (Voting)
Fellow of the ACCYPN is a prestigious member status that recognises the experience and contribution of nurses to the ACCYPN and the profession. Applications for Fellowship are assessed based on the professional leadership, commitment and achievements of the applicant.
Our credentialed children and young people’s nurses are recognised as Fellows. Alternate pathway is a peer-reviewed application.
