Full members

Ordinary Members are registered/enrolled nurses actively engaged in the provision of care for children and young people.

A nurse actively engaged in the provision of care for children and young people and can include but not limited to:

  • Deliver and/or influence direct nursing care to children and young people and their families
  • Manage, direct and/or supervise health/nursing care of children and their families
  • Provide education related to children & young people’s nursing
  • Research areas of clinical, educational and/or management of children and young people’s health care

 

The membership category, Fellow of the ACCYPN  is a prestigious member status awarded to nurses in recognition of significant contribution to children and young people’s health nursing and professional achievement.

Pathways to Fellowship

Pathway 1 Credentialed CCYPN

The ACCYPN is pleased to offer credentialed children and young people’s nurses fellowship, recognising the rigorous peer review and portfolio of evidence required to ensure applicants have achieved the professional standard for practice in specialty nursing.

ACCYPN Members will retain Fellowship for the duration of their credentialed status.

Pathway 2 Invited

Individuals, whether members or non-members* as determined by the Board of Directors, may be invited to become Fellows of the ACCYPN in recognition of their outstanding leadership and contributions to children and young people’s nursing and to the ACCYPN.

*Non-members who accept must become members of the ACCYPN.

Business Rule - Fellowhip criteria

This member category is available for Aboriginal Health Practitioners/ Workers actively engaged in the provision of care for children and young people.

 

WASNA.jpg     This membership category offers a 20% discount on ordinary membership for those nurses who are current members of the Western Australian School Nurses Association.

Ordinary Members are registered/enrolled nurses actively engaged in the provision of care for children and young people.

A nurse actively engaged in the provision of care for children and young people and can include but not limited to:

Associate Members

Non-voting membership, ineligible for scholarships, grants or Board positions

This membership category is available for health professionals who have a special interest in the care of children and young people's nurses, but are not currently working in the area.

Associate members are non-voting members and ineligible for director positions or scholarships.

This membership category is available for registered/enrolled nurses residing and employed outside of Australia who are actively engaged in the provision of care for children and young people.

Overseas members are non-voting members and ineligible for director positions or scholarships.

This membership category is available to undergraduate nursing students in Nursing for a maximum period of three years

Undergraduate Nurse members are non-voting members and ineligible for director positions or scholarships.

Life members

Life membership is an invitation only membership category. Recognising members past or present by the Board of for their outstanding service to children and young people’s health nursing.

Life members are voting members and ineligible for director positions.

Life Membership nomination process

This honorary membership category is for those invited by the Board of their outstanding service to children and young people’s health.

Honorary members are non-voting members and ineligible for director positions.

Corporate membership

Non-voting membership, ineligible for scholarships, grants or Board positions

This membership category is available to organisations that promote the health and well-being of children and young people and/or promote the speciality of Children and Young People’s Nurses.

Corporate members are non-voting members and ineligible for director positions.
