WA CHAPTER REPORT
The WA Chapter held our final education event on Saturday 2nd November at Maylands Peninsula Golf Course. The Clinical Breakfast topic was titled “Newly diagnosed diabetic children; a new model of care.” The presenters were Frances Leclercq, Adele Connor and Kelly West all from the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at PCH.
Once again we say a heartfelt thanks to our two sponsors, Aspen and Medtronic. Without the continuing support of sponsors, we would not be able to host such interesting and varied clinical events for such a reasonable cost to members and guests. The presentation scored very high on all of our evaluation parameters of: Relevance; Content and Presentation. There were 25 attendees at the breakfast who shared many positive comments; included is a selection below:

The next working group meeting is 5pm on Tuesday 3rd March 2020 via Zoom video link. If you are interested in becoming a working group member, please come along and see what we do.
The working group is conscious of people booking to attend events but then not attending. We have no information as to why this happens but it is a frequent occurrence. We are looking at ways in which we can remind people prior to the event.
Don’t forget: the 2020 ACCYPN conference is in Darwin. Committee chair Jacquie Burton and the Committee is finalised.
