Workforce Panel Discussion

This panel brings together industry leaders and academics to explore why paediatric and child health nursing must be formally recognised as a specialty area of practice. Panellists will discuss the unique clinical expertise, advanced decision-making, and advocacy skills required to care for infants, children, and young people, and how specialist education directly improves health outcomes and family-centred care. The discussion will also highlight current gaps in recognition across health services and the risks of undervaluing specialist preparation.
